Roger Patterson is the founder of Connecting Dad, a platform created to help fathers strengthen relationships with their children by capturing the words, wisdom, and values they want to pass on.
Roger has spent decades helping people lead well, live intentionally, and build lives of meaning—both publicly and privately. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of CityRise Church in Houston, Texas, where he is known for developing leaders, teaching with clarity, and influencing those who influence others.

Roger has written a personal legacy book for each of his children—capturing stories, lessons, encouragement, and words he wanted them to have long after a moment had passed. Through that process, he discovered something simple and powerful: many fathers want to say meaningful things to their kids, but they don't always know how to begin—or where to put those words once they find them.
The Mission
Connecting Dad exists to solve that problem.
Rather than offering generic parenting advice, Connecting Dad helps fathers reflect, write, and preserve their own words—creating a legacy their children can return to throughout every season of life.
Roger's passion is to influence the influencer—to help fathers, leaders, and parents live with greater intentionality so the impact of their lives extends far beyond themselves.
